H is for Hearty Beef Stew

Ingredients:

1 pound beef stew meat

1 medium onion

1 clove garlic

4 cups water

1 bay leaf

½ tsp dried thyme leaves

1/8 tsp ground black pepper

3 medium carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces

2 medium potatoes, cut into quarters

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (optional for Gluten Free)

Directions:
Cook and brown beef stew meat with onions and garlic. Place meat, onion, garlic and the rest of the ingredients in a slow cooker on low for 7-8 hours. Discard bay leaf. 4-6 servings.
