Fairy Gardens at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Spring is in the air and the fairies at the MN Landscape Arboretum have been VERY busy ! February 22 - March 23 in the Great Hall of the Oswald Visitor Center.  Exhibit is free with Arboretum gate admission $12 adults: free for kids ages 12 and under.  The Arboretum is located at 3675 Arboretum Dr, Chanhassen.

FEE FREE Weekend at ALL National Parks (Feb 15 - 17)

All  401 national parks  will provide   free admission  to everyone February 15-17 to honor our nation's leaders and their accomplishments.

B is for Brickmania

The Lego movie debuted this weekend,we'll wait to watch that on Netflix but what couldn't wait too check out the coolest Lego place in North America - Brickmania  (@brickmaniatoys). We broke out of our south metro mold and drove up to the "Nordeast" side to check out the most awesome display of Lego art ever including an Iomega flag raising the size of GINORMOUS out of itty bitty Legos (gotta remember that for an "I" day). I'd love to know how much time and planning that took. We brought our 11 year-old Lego enthusiast niece who gave the place a two thumbs up.  They offer frequent free open houses to come and build your own Lego whatevers and race them down the huge wooden ramp.  Birthday parties are offered and the best part...build your own Lego train, bring it in and you can plop it down on the huge train set filled with cities, moutains (who is MT Annika named after, I mean who is Annika?), and Godzilla.
